House Clearance Southport

Need a house clearance in Southport? We charge by the van load, starting at £150. You’ll get one fixed price after we’ve seen the job, and nothing is added for travel. We hold a waste carrier licence, carry full insurance and give you a waste transfer note when the work is done.

  • Fully insured

  • Waste transfer note

Whether it’s a terrace in Birkdale, a flat on Lord Street or a bungalow in Formby, we clear houses, flats, lofts, garages and sheds right along the Sefton coast. The clearance is carried out by a licensed waste carrier who’ll gladly show you their licence. We carry it all out, load the van and sweep up behind us. What you pay depends on how much van space your belongings take up, never on how long we’re there.

How much does house clearance cost in Southport?

Our Luton van is the measure: a quarter van costs £150. Pick the size nearest to your job and we’ll give you a fixed price once we know what’s involved.

LoadGood forRoughlyPrice
¼ vanA small clear-out20 bin bags£150
½ vanA room or a garden40 bin bags£250
¾ vanA larger clearance60 bin bags£350
Full vanA whole house or officeFull load£400

Consider these a starting point. We never charge for travel anywhere around Southport. The final price is settled after a free viewing, a video call or a few photos, because stairs, parking and carry distance all matter. Bigger than a full van? We’ll quote once we’ve seen it. Fridges, freezers, mattresses and sofas carry a disposal fee because they need special handling. Pay when we’ve finished by card, cash or bank transfer, and the price stays the same. Prices last checked: 8 November 2026.

Just a few big things to shift? Sefton Council’s bulky item collection costs £26 for up to three items, when we last looked in November 2026.

What we clear

From one room to a full property, we handle house clearance, flat clearance and everything between it across Southport and Sefton.

  • Whole houses and flats
  • Single rooms
  • Lofts
  • Garages and sheds
  • Gardens and garden waste
  • End of tenancy clear-outs
  • Shop and office clear-outs, including old computers and furniture

Sorting out a home after a bereavement or before a sale? Tell us your deadline and what you want to keep, and we’ll fit around you.

What we can’t take

Heavy pieces such as pianos and safes are fine. For safety and legal reasons we have to turn down:

  • Hazardous and chemical waste: asbestos, paint, solvents, gas cylinders, petrol, diesel, oil and car batteries
  • Heavy building waste: soil, turf, bricks, rubble, concrete and gravel, which are too heavy for the van
  • Biohazards: clinical waste, anything infested with bed bugs or rodents, and used animal litter

Not sure about an item? Send a photo on WhatsApp and we’ll let you know straight away.

What happens to your things

Decent furniture shouldn’t end up in landfill. Items in good condition are passed on free locally or given to charity shops around Southport, and the rest goes to licensed sites, recycled where possible.

House clearance questions

How much does house clearance cost in Southport?

A quarter van is £150, a half £250, three quarters £350 and a full van £400. The final fixed price is confirmed after a free viewing, video call or photos.

Do you give free quotes?

Yes, a viewing costs nothing and gives the most accurate price. If you’d like to skip the wait, WhatsApp us photos or a quick video.

Is there a travel or call-out charge?

No. The price covers the clearance and we add nothing for travel anywhere we cover.

Are you a licensed waste carrier?

Yes. Our carrier is a registered waste carrier and will show you their licence on request, and you get a waste transfer note for every clearance.

Can I just take it to the tip myself?

Yes, and cars can just turn up. Vans and trailers between 2 and 3 metres need an appointment at Southport Recycling Centre on Foul Lane, so check the rules before you go. Many people with a whole house to clear find one clearance simpler than lots of runs to the tip. See the council’s recycling centre page.

What if I only have a few items?

Clearances start at £150 for a quarter van. If you only have a couple of big items, Sefton Council’s bulky collection costs £26 for up to three items, or you can take them to Southport Recycling Centre on Foul Lane yourself.

What can’t you take?

Hazardous and chemical waste, heavy building waste like soil and rubble, and biohazards. The full list is further up the page.

What happens to my things?

Anything in good condition is passed on free locally or given to charity shops, and the rest goes to licensed sites to be recycled wherever possible.

Do you clear flats and upstairs rooms?

Yes, from any floor. Mention stairs, lifts and parking when you book, since they can change the price.

How do I pay?

When the work is done, by card, cash or bank transfer. The price is identical either way.

How soon can you come?

WhatsApp us and we’ll offer the next free slot. We work Monday to Saturday.
